Deacons
Now in those days, when the number of the
disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists,[a] because their widows were neglected in the daily
distribution. 2 Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the
disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. 3 Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; Acts 6: 1- 3
•Advance the Cause of Evangelism.
•Advance the Unity of the Church.
•Requires a Firm Grasp of Sound Doctrine.
•Are to be capable of Serving the Lord in Spiritual
ways.
Deaconess, Mothers, &
Minister’s wives
I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deaconess of the
church at Cenchreae, that you may receive her in the Lord as befits the
saints, and help her in whatever she may require from you, for she has been a helper of many and of myself as well” (Rom. 16:1, 2, RSV).
•Oversee the dressing of the baptismal candidates, take
care of the communion cloths, and setting of the table.
•Promote the spiritual growth of the Church.
•Meet the needs of the Greater New Bethel MBC of
Liberty city, under the spiritual guidance of the pastor.
Christian Education

•Provide, develop, and promote programs that equip
individuals for discipleship.
•Focus on spirituality, service and education.
•Sunday School, Bible Study, new member orientation,
and other spiritual growth workshops.
•Oversee Library.
Evangelism & Outreach
Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen Matthew 28: 19 – 20 (NKJV)
•This is not a motivational factor for numerical growth
of the church, it should be about ensuring all know about the goodness of God.
•Literature Distribution.
•Gospel Dialogue.
•Street or public forum.
Visitation for Homebound, Sick,
& Bereaved
I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick
and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ Matthew 25:

•Inform team and they will inform Pastor.
•Compassionate visitation.
•Emotional and spiritual preparation.
•Console with the words of the Lord.
•In addition to the core ministry team this is an every member responsibility.
Hospitality
28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. 1 Cor 12:28 (KJV)
•Helping the pastor fulfill the vision God has given of making those who come through the doorways of our church feel at home and welcomed.

Ushers
•The Ushers Ministry is dedicated to help usher God's
people into the building as well as maintain an atmosphere of reverence and
order before, during and after the service with a "ready to-serve" attitude.
For a day in Your courts is better than a
thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than

Music
•The role music plays in developing and growing a ministry cannot be overstated. The worship experience is not only about hearing a message from a minister or learning a new interpretation of Scripture; a complete and fulfilling worship experience involves community-building, bonding and creating a atmosphere through physical vibration as only music can.
Performing Arts
10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen..1 Peter 4: 10 -11
•To use our gifts, talents, and abilities to faithfully serve the body of Christ. By using creative art forms that we are blessed with and the strength God provides, we are able to reach His people and allow them to receive the salvation of the Lord.
•ACTING – MUSIC - DANCE
Youth

•To involve and engage with young people who attend the
church, or who live in this community.
•Encouraging young people to learn more about the
Christian faith and Jesus Christ.
•Providing them with events and activities that will
include some form of religious instruction.
Shepherd’s Care
Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy ofdouble honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching. For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer deserves his wages. 1 Timothy 5:17 - 18
•Ensuring that he is fully equipped, prepared, and able
to fulfill his responsibilities in leading the congregation.
•Assists the Pastor within the ministry: serving as
caretakers of the Pastor and his family.
•Pray for the needs of the pastor and his family.
•
Public Relations
“ Let your light so shine before men, that they may
see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven ”Matthew 5:16
•Share information with the community about our
ministry’s missions, needs, and activities.
•Providing a positive perception of our ministry in the
community.
•Creating awareness of ministry activities, both for
the general public and your attendants. (Weekly programs, bulletin boards, flyers, Facebook fanpage, Text
Messaging etc. )
Young Adults
•To involve and engage with young people who attend the
church, or who live in this community.
•Encouraging young people to learn more about the
Christian faith and Jesus Christ.
•Providing them with events and activities that will
include some form of religious instruction
